Julice Chen

Founder &​ General Manager

• Julice has more than Thirty (30) years of experience in leading procurement organizations within Asia for multi-national companies in Home Center, Mass Merchant, Grocery and Distribution.

• He is a treasure of knowledge and has deep insight in international trade, manufacturing, retail operation and global sourcing.

• His career started from working at the largest bench-top and hand-held power tool manufacturer in Taiwan OEM, both international brands and retailer private labels. Julice later joined Test-Rite (the largest public listed trading company in Taiwan) and over the course of Eighteen (18) years, he expanded Test-Rite from a hardware and automotive specialty trader to a much broader global sourcing solution provider to Home Center/ Mass Merchant/ Specialty/ Worldwide Department store retailers. Products categories include: Electrical, Lighting, Outdoor and Indoor Furniture, Bathroom, Kitchen, Garden, Stationery, Seasonal, Houseware, Home Décor and Gift.  

• Julice was honored to be appointed by Home Depot as strategic global sourcing partner. He formed and led a dedicated team in Test Rite to grow significant Home Depot direct import volume within two years by driving cost saving and delivering the quality product. 

• The launch of B&Q Home Center stores in Taiwan in 1995 put into practice years of hands-on experience in dealing with top international home improvement stores.

• Julice held the top seat in this growing retail chain from 1995 to 2001. He was sought after by Wal-Mart Store Inc. and joined Wal-Mart in 2001 as Managing Director of Operation in establishing and managing 21 in-house global procurement offices across 17 countries. Achieving Several Billlons of purchasing from 39 countries in first year.

• In 2004, Julice moved his career another milestone by joining Safeway Inc. to establish - Safeway Global Sourcing, the first global sourcing organization in Asia for the grocery giants. His efforts not only developed the import infrastructure but also established a vast of strategic global vendors base to provide competitive cost and deliver the highest quality merchandise. Following the merger between Safeway Inc. and Albertsons LLC, Global Sourcing Services Limited (GSS) was created to continue the direct import business under his vision and guidance.

Eric Chang

VP of Operation

• Eric has 26 years of experience in the Factory, Trading, Retailer, Agent and Retailer’s Global Sourcing industries.

• He began his career as a factory project manager to set up China production line in 1991 and joining Test Rite at QA team then moved to electric merchandising team. Leading special projects including migrating industry from Taiwan to Mexico and Southeast Asia for Wal-Mart and Home Depot, joining the restructure of TR USA operation. Later Eric moved to B&Q Taiwan as buyer in 1995 and achieved the strongest sales growth among all categories and developed and launched the first B&Q private brand light bulb to improve margin and occupied 20% of lighting market share in Taiwan.

• After the successful performance in B&Q retail, Eric was promoted to Test-Rite AVP to improve the products cost by leading the electric products importation from China and was CEO special assistant to evaluate Asia retail feasibility.

• In 2004, Eric joined and worked in Safeway Global Souring as merchandise manager for private brand and products for store use. Later Eric was promoted to VP of Operation in 2010 to cover QA, Logistics, Finance and IT.

• Incredible hands-on knowledge on sourcing, product development, process development, management, company process initial setup and establishing best practice in procurement and buying agent office operation.
