Global Sourcing Service understand worldwide sustainability needs and goals and is committed to making smart decisions to protect and manage our environmental impact responsibly. It is our mission to operate our business with minimal environmental impact and help our customers and strategic suppliers do the same. For example, GSS encourage our strategic suppliers to investigate their production energy consumption and set up their goal to reduce the carbon footprint in the supply chain and production line. Other than that, GSS also commit to apply the most up to date environmental friendly technology to offer wide range of green products with certified certificate for customers selections. Below are some examples in current offering
Offer food product for customers looking for natural, organic, specialty, health & ethnic selection with less and cleaner ingredients without artificial additives such as HFCS, BPA, Antibiotics, or GMO etc.
Offer bio-degradable material to replace plastic usage to protest the environment such as degradable PLA, CPLA, PSM ….
Apply high energy efficient electrical home appliance products for customers such as Energy Star, High IEER products
Reduce packaging and shipping cubic feet by product development to increase container efficiency and furthering reduce the carton footprint during overseas transportation
Commit to use more of recycle paper material and less material in package. All color boxes contain at least 85% of recycle paper material and corrugate carton reach 92% of recycle material.
For glass related products, use at least 98% recycle glass for reproduction.
Provide customers wood and paper options certified by FSC certified to join the effort of frost sustainability
In the office operation, we encourage our business counterpart to sign up for electronic Invoicing via email or web to reduce paper usage. The goal is to reduce those paper usage for business documents such as PO/Invoice/shipping document/booking document/management reports by electronic or EDI whenever possible.
